Courses - City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants

Created for aspiring dog groomers, this hugely popular course is ideal when you want to learn the fundamentals of dog grooming. You learn the valuable skills needed to become a practising dog groomer, and in parallel to this, you gain experience of working in a salon environment. Our experts also show you how to operate specialist equipment that is used on many dog breeds.

City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants - Course Information

The course length is 25 days, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The examining body is City and Guilds, and upon successful completion of the course, you receive a Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants (7763-02). The assessment consists of written coursework, practical assessments and a multiple-choice examination.

Course fee: £3,450 – this includes a City and Guilds registration, Heavenlyz qualification handbook, Heavenlyz course manual, and an online examination.

PLEASE NOTE: All equipment is supplied for the duration of the course; however, you must purchase a set of personal scissors for this course. We can advise you on the best ones to purchase and assist you in purchasing a set at a reduced rate. If you would like to have your own equipment to use whilst on the course, we can supply you with details about where to purchase this at a reduced rate.

5-Day Introductory Dog Grooming Course

Immersed into a salon environment, you learn important dog grooming skills in a busy environment. When you are considering a career in dog grooming, this course is suitable for you, and this course is appropriate for dog owners who want to learn how to groom a specific breed.

5-Day Introductory Dog Grooming – Course Information

This 5-day course is Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. When you successfully complete the course, you receive an East Sussex Grooming Academy Certificate in the Introduction to Dog Grooming. The assessment consists of a question and answer session and practical tasks. The course fee is £695.

1-Day Basic Pet Grooming Course

This course is ideal when you want to try dog grooming before pursuing a career in it. Also, this course is beneficial for pet owners who want to learn how to correctly groom a dog. Please note, to participate in this course, you need to provide your own dog.

In this course, you learn:

     Basic and Affordable Grooming Tools

     Correct Bathing and Drying

     Brushing Techniques and Good Coat Maintenance

     Basic Animal Health Warning Signs

1-Day Basic Pet Grooming - Course Information

This duration of this course is 1 day and it starts at 9:00 a.m. – 5: 00 p.m. The certificate presented to you is an East Sussex Grooming Academy Certificate of Attendance. The course fee is £175.

1 Day Animal First Aid Course

This course is ideal when you work with or own small companion animals, including cats, dogs, ferrets and rabbits.

     How to Deal with An Animal Emergency

     Collapse and Unconsciousness Procedures

1 Day Animal First Aid – Course Information

The course length is 1 day, and the certificate provided is an OCN Level 3 Advanced Companion Animal CPCR and First Aid for Pet Care Professionals. The course fee is £175.
